It's open to personal interpretation. Everyone knows some authority figure or elected official or "power that be" who abuses their power. In my painting, I'm attempting to show how ugly that is, but wrapping it in a beautiful gilded frame, just like the power abusers do.

who exactly did you paint in the artwork? anyone specific?
It's an elected official in Lehigh County PA.
