Memory Box

I made this memory box a while ago to use as a teaching example. It includes the actual wallpaper used in our powder room in the house I grew up in, early 1970's, maps, and sentimental chachka. Photo is of me (I'm on the right) and my friend Laurie on a 5th grade field trip to The Museum of Natural History in NYC. We were so goofy!

This is a lesson I love to teach because kids love to collect things, and this helps them remember and value the little things in life. Memories help shape you into the person you are today, and should be treasured. Artists use actual objects and images in their work to convey meaning and express ideas.
